Current Profile and Research Topic:
Professor Takashi Suzuki is a distinguished researcher whose mainly work on the pathological and molecular biological investigation of ghormones and cancerh. His research primarily explores the roles of sex steroids in the development and progression of human breast and prostate cancers. Given that endocrine therapies are widely employed to inhibit intratumoral sex-steroid activity in these malignancies, he is particularly committed to elucidating the mechanisms underlying therapeutic resistance?an issue of critical clinical importance.
In addition to his research activities, Professor Suzuki serves as a general pathologist at Tohoku University Hospital, where he provides pathological diagnoses of various human diseases. Through the integration of clinical pathology and experimental research, he contributes to advancing both foundational knowledge and translational approaches in cancer biology.
